National Book Tokens paper vouchers are still valid and should be accepted. They have no expiry date. Simply " target="_blank" rel="noopener">complete the Exchanges form and return it to us, together with the vouchers.
You can order easily and quickly online. Just log in to our secure ordering site (using your BA account number and password) to view our range and place your orders. There's no charge, and all orders are fully tracked.
National Book Tokens gift cards are valid for 8 years from last use, including balance enquiries.
After 8 years, an unused card will expire, but we promise to replace any gift card that still has value left on it. Expired cards can be swapped out over the phone (Mon to Fri, 9am-5pm):

Please note that we are unable to manage bookshop customer service via social media.
We recently replaced our old UK number (0844 9120397) with 03303 310345 – this is a non-geographic standard number and should reduce call charges.
You can order point-of-sale and display materials using our secure ordering site (log in with your BA account number and password). These include display stands, till stickers, spinners, window stickers, signage, posters and bookmarks, and are all delivered free of charge to help you show off your gift card displays and encourage sales and redemptions in your bookshop.
You can also download digital banners to share on your site and social channels, as well as printable posters.
As a National Book Tokens stockist, you're listed on our bookshop search, so any customer looking to spend their gift card in your area will be able to easily find you. What's more, you can use our free local marketing tool, National Book Tokens Local, to promote your events, offers and updates to local booklovers.
National Book Tokens e-Gift cards work in the same way as our physical gift cards. Either scan the barcode or type in the long card number manually.
You can load National Book Tokens gift cards in bulk – i.e. load multiple cards at a time – in the Web Administration area of your NBT Web Application. Log in at https://services.transaxpay.com/nbtAdmin/login or find the link in our Bookseller Zone.
Once logged in, click on the ‘Bulk Load/Activate’ button to load between 2 and 100 sequential cards at a time. To make sure the cards are in the correct order they will need to come from the same pack/box, in the order they are packed in.
Please make sure to scan/swipe or enter the number of the first and last cards you are loading, then enter the quantity of cards (‘Number of cards’) and the value you want loaded onto them (‘Activation Amount’).
Click the ‘Load/Activate’ button, and unless there is a problem (e.g. the cards are not sequential), the cards will be loaded instantly, and as on Web Authorisations you will have the option of printing a receipt.
If there is a problem, such as the cards not being sequential, a message will appear on the screen to tell you so. If the message states you have hit your credit limit with us, please just let us know and we will get that resolved for you ASAP.

Keeping track of your gift card transactions or credit limit can help you with your admin and daily till reconciliations. You can access the reports site from our Bookseller Zone – log in with your BA account number and password.
Here’s what each report does:
Invoice Reconciliation Report – shows a summary of all your sales and redemptions for the selected month. This report will match the data on your month end statement.
End of Day – shows summary of sales and redemptions for the date(s) selected. You should use this to reconcile your gift card transactions with your till.
Limit Query Report – shows how much of your monthly credit limit you have used and what is remaining.
Transaction Log Report – shows you the date and time of each transaction, who performed the transaction and which method they used e.g. web, terminal or telephone (IVR). You can also use this report to check it against your End of Day and daily till reports.
Bulk Load Report - This report will show you any bulk loads that have been performed.
It's free and easy to promote your bookshop events and offers to local booklovers. Register to use National Book Tokens Local, our free marketing tool, using your BA account number and the email address registered to your account. Once you've verified your email, you're all set.
When you upload your events, offers and updates, they’ll appear on your bookshop profile to anyone searching for bookshops in your area, plus we’ll email them directly to our email subscribers who live near your bookshop! You can view your shop's statistics in your Bookseller Dashboard, and we'll also email these to you every month so you can see how many people have viewed your profile and listings.
Each month, we award our Bookshop of the Month prize to a bookshop making great use of our platform: you could win a luxury food and wine hamper, as well as further promotion to our audiences online.
